Buy direct from authors! Please!

Thank you to those who have recently ordered my book “A Rock Solid History of Hawthorne, New Jersey” on Amazon! It is always nice to see a payment pop up.

In that vain, I want to share that if you want an author’s book, buying directly from the author always gives the author more royalties.

This is because ***and brace yourself*** the royalties Amazon is giving me has fallen by 88% in the last month. This is NOT a typo. And I was NOT notified of this highway robbery either.

You can see in the image I made $2.26 per book back in March. In July, I made $0.27 per book.

I have not been at many events in the last year due to a heavy workload. But I know I will be at the Green Fair at the Louis Bay 2nd Library in Hawthorne, NJ on September 13. Save the date!

Please, I implore you, go to book fairs. Go to the small businesses that agree to carry local books and art. It makes a world of difference to all of us.
