#RockSolidHistory from The College of New Jersey in Ewing!
Housed in the Social Sciences building, this archaeology display case from the William Green Farmhouse on campus has some amazing artifacts! I'm still scratching my head about two boots found that are approximately 220 years old and how they did not decay!!! One shoe is so intact, they can clearly see repair work done 2 centuries ago. I could go on & on about how environments help preserve things (bog bodies, anyone?), but this normal, dry land is not a place I would have expected that. Amazing! #ArchaeologyisAmazing #HistoryDetective #NJhistoryforkids #childrensauthorNJ #TCNJhistory #Ewinghistory #GardenStateHistory #Historyiseverywhere
