#RockSolidHistory from Larry Doby Baseball Field in Eastside Park in Paterson, NJ!

Larry Doby is remembered all throughout Paterson. He played for both the Negro Leagues and the Major Leagues in the 1940s and 1950s.

He was the first African-American man to play in the American Baseball League. He was also the first African-American to hit a home run in the World Series.

There is this nice statue of Larry near the baseball diamond.
