#RockSolidHistory from the #AnzaBorregoMuseum in Borrego Springs, CA!
This visitors center in the vast Anza Borrego State Park in southern California is a gem. Borrego means goat in Spanish. I cannot say I saw any mountain goats, but I did see evidence of coyotes and cougars while hiking in the park! The museum is full of information about the past like creatures living here as the land changed from oceanic to lush to dry, Native American groups, old mail routes, and local geology. The gift shop is top notch. Be sure to stop in. Trust me. If you venture into the park more, it encompasses over 600,000 acres of diverse landscapes, from dry to very lush, especially if recent rains have passed through. #anzaborregodesertstatepart #anzaborregodesertvisitorscenter #borregospringsCA #Calforniadesert #CAgeology #CAhistory
