The Power of Peer Review

There is something a lot of writers don’t talk about – our community. If you think I exist alone in my writing endeavors, you are wrong! I have surrounded myself with smart and creative readers and writers. It makes me better at what I do.

The biggest help lately has been a writing group I was a part of in 2021 and recently rejoined. Because I am at the start of writing the second part of a YA historical fiction trilogy, it is very important to have peer review.

I want to make sure my instincts for telling a story are correct. If not, I will adjust. Writing is one part idea, three billion parts reviewing and revising. Doing all that in a bubble doesn’t help the story get told well. Help/support is welcome and needed.
