Unzipping the past

#RockSolidHistory from Barre, VT, where you can find North America's longest zipper!

This zipper is made of granite and is a sculpture in front of Studio Place Arts on Main Street. Created by Chris Miller, the "Unzipping the Earth" sculpture is 74 feet long and features a perennial garden.

If you don't know, Vermont supplies granite for many cemetery stones and statues across the United States. Carvers from Italy originally settled here.
