#RockSolidHistory from Skylands Manor and NJ Botanical Gardens in Ringwood, NJ!
Pictured here are the Four Continents Statues. Each represents the way old Europe classified the world, which included Africa, America, Asia, and Europe. The artist is unknown, but the statues are imitations of those made by Gaspard Marsy, Gilles Guerin, Cornu, and Mazeline, according to the Smithsonian. These imitation statues were installed in 1930. Although weathered after 95 years, they still look beautiful. #GetOutdoorsNJ #OutdoorArtNJ #FourContinentsStatues #RingwoodHistory #SkylandsManorHistory #NJBotanicalGardenHistory #StatueHistory #NJhistory, #GardenStateHistory #NJArtHistory
