#RockSolidHistory from Laurelwood Arboretum in Wayne, NJ!
This beautifully landscaped park was once a nursery specializing in rhododendrons and azaleas owned by Dorothy and John Knippenberg. They donated this land to the township of Wayne, which eventually became a non-profit organization. Today, Laurelwood Arboretum does a fantastic job of blending serene scenes with art installations. Here are a few examples - the Friendship totems by Fitzhugh Karol, and the Egrets stainless steel sculpture by Babette Bloch. Take a stroll yourself! #laurelwoodarboretumhistory #laurelwoodarboretum #waynenjhistory #planthistoryNJ #GetOutdoorsNJ #artmeetsnature
