Upcoming (old) pandemic talk...

3/12/2022

Want to learn about the pandemic that gripped Paterson, NJ nearly 100 years ago? Hear the story from the Hawthorne Historical Society (incl. me!) on Monday March 14 at 7:00pm. It is in turns gripping, earth-wrenching, and eye-opening, and much like today’s pandemic.

The Hawthorne Historical Society meets at the Passaic County Arts Center/John W. Rea House, 675 Goffle Road, Hawthorne, NJ.

As Hawthorne approaches its 125th anniversary in 2023, the Society is doubling its efforts to share its historical knowledge in innovative ways. Visit us at http://hawthornehistory.org/  or @hawthornehistory on Facebook and Instagram.

As #readacrossamericaweek2022 comes to a close, I have exciting news! My children's book, "A Rock Solid History of Hawthorne, New Jersey" is now being sold at Colour & Whim in Hawthorne, NJ (https://www.colourandwhim.com/).

My book, which tells the history of the town through rocks, is a perfect adventure for the warmer weather. Everything mentioned in the book can be visited in person, reinforcing the history learned.

And Colour & Whim is located next to an award-winning sub shop. Sounds like a fun afternoon to me!
